Dog Walk Wednesday

Another day, another dog walk. Up early in time for some beautiful light this morning.

Here are a couple of photos from today’s dog walk. The Anhinga was a new visitor to the tidal canal. She was a nice surprise this morning.

Today’s Dog Walk

I am owned by two dogs, WeeGee and Pixel. Pixel LOVES her walkies. On our daily walks, I usually try to talk photos in our neighborhood. Here are a few scenes from today. Enjoy!

A Day of Passions

So, I’ve been part of this totally amazing group, called “Do Epic Sh*t.” And recently we had to make lists of our talents, hobbies, passions, strengths and desires. My passions are all over the place.

I love a little bit of everything and I was worried at how Alicia and Gordon would make sense of it all. Of course they did. (I’m still digesting it all). Today, I realized was one of my perfect days and maybe, just maybe, all those things can come together.

This week, I’m dog sitting for a friend in Georgia and today I drove to Jekyll Island to meet a dear friend for lunch. I got there first. So, what did I do? I saw many beautiful butterflies on gorgeous flowers, so I start to take photos.

Then Dana and I stopped at Fins on the Beach for Shrimp and Grits. (Jekyll Island holds a shrimp and grits festival each year in September. Yum!)

After a long and leisurely lunch, we visited the Georgia Sea Turtle Center.

So, yes, today I traveled, spent time with a good friend, took photos, enjoyed nature, had a wonderful meal and threw in some sea turtles. Sort of like when I just threw sea turtles into my passions list. I love sea turtles, food, travel and photography. And wished to spend more time enjoying the people around me. Who would have known, it would or could all come together?

When Dana found me at the visitors’ center, she said, with a smile in her voice, “Who is that strange woman sitting on the sidewalk taking photos?” It hits me tonight, yup, I’m that woman and I’m happy. Really, really happy.

A day in Key West

Took a day trip to Key West this week. Mangrove leaves at sunset on Middle Torch Key, Fla.
