Wakodahatchee Wetlands – March 19, 2014

Last week I attended a photo workshop lead by Karen Milstein, of Wings & Things Photography, at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, Fla. Getting up and being there at 7am was not a lot of fun, but it was soooo worth it. Wakodahatchee is amazing no matter when you go but it was magical in the early morning. I picked up quite a few new tips from Karen. I'd highly recommend going to next year's workshops. I'm very sad to report that the Great Egret hatchlings are now missing from their nest. 🙁 Hopefully there will be more hatching soon.

Dog Walk – Dec. 3, 2013

Today's dog walk was fun and some of our usual friends were out. The Green Heron was searching for bugs to eat. Then Pixel decided we needed to go a couple blocks further than normal, which took us past a neighbor's yard full of wonderful lush, green plants.

Dog Walk – Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Just when I was joking that I had dragged the camera with me and there was nothing to take photos of today. I actually said to my husband, "Please take the leash, maybe there will be a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker" on the tree ahead. Surprise there was! Turns out that it wasn't such a bad outing after all.
