Last week I attended a photo workshop lead by Karen Milstein, of Wings & Things Photography, at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, Fla. Getting up and being there at 7am was not a lot of fun, but it was soooo worth it. Wakodahatchee is amazing no matter when you go but it was magical in the early morning. I picked up quite a few new tips from Karen. I'd highly recommend going to next year's workshops.
I'm very sad to report that the Great Egret hatchlings are now missing from their nest. 🙁 Hopefully there will be more hatching soon.
Today's dog walk was fun and some of our usual friends were out. The Green Heron was searching for bugs to eat. Then Pixel decided we needed to go a couple blocks further than normal, which took us past a neighbor's yard full of wonderful lush, green plants.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Just when I was joking that I had dragged the camera with me and there was nothing to take photos of today. I actually said to my husband, "Please take the leash, maybe there will be a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker" on the tree ahead. Surprise there was! Turns out that it wasn't such a bad outing after all.
I am owned by two dogs, WeeGee and Pixel. Pixel LOVES her walkies. On our daily walks, I usually try to talk photos in our neighborhood. Here are a few scenes from today. Enjoy!
