Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Just when I was joking that I had dragged the camera with me and there was nothing to take photos of today. I actually said to my husband, “Please take the leash, maybe there will be a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker” on the tree ahead. Surprise there was! Turns out that it wasn’t such a bad outing after all.
We didn’t get very far on our dog walk on Monday. First we found the squirrel on the pole in our driveway.
But then …
We looked up …
And there was an Osprey … on the pole … in the yard behind our house … with a still flopping Crevalle Jack in its talons!
The dogs were whisked back inside and the next hour was spent watching amazing scenes of nature, practically in our own backyard! No worries though. The dogs got their walk afterwards.
I got stopped at the toll bridge tonight on the way to work. However, I can’t say that the view was bad. Pretty nice after yesterday’s rains.
My vet’s office, Bayshore Veterinary Clinic, had a Spooktacular holiday event last weekend, so I dropped by to support them. Many pets were in costumes and everyone was having a great time.
