Last week I attended a photo workshop lead by Karen Milstein, of Wings & Things Photography, at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray Beach, Fla. Getting up and being there at 7am was not a lot of fun, but it was soooo worth it. Wakodahatchee is amazing no matter when you go but it was magical in the early morning. I picked up quite a few new tips from Karen. I'd highly recommend going to next year's workshops.
I'm very sad to report that the Great Egret hatchlings are now missing from their nest. 🙁 Hopefully there will be more hatching soon.
On Feb. 1, 2014, we went to Woofstock in Sunrise, Fla. It was very hot and muddy, but we all had a great time.
Dogs from AirK9z preformed for an excited crowd. Amazing dogs...
There was also a costume contest. In a very close vote, Shredder won over Feelin' Groovy.
Pixel and WeeGee enjoyed the day out, especially the mud!
Of course, I saw some birds. 🙂
Happy New Year! I'm back home and went on the first dog walk of the year. Turned out to be iguana day. Counted over eight in one spot.
Today's dog walk was fun and some of our usual friends were out. The Green Heron was searching for bugs to eat. Then Pixel decided we needed to go a couple blocks further than normal, which took us past a neighbor's yard full of wonderful lush, green plants.
